Yay, you’re here!
Are you ready to explore the teachings and tools of yoga? Whether you’re looking for asana (movement), pranayama (breathwork), meditation or more, I would be honored to work with you as you continue on your journey.
I teach yoga in the Viniyoga tradition, which means meeting students where they are and working together to build practices that help heal, nourish and develop bodies, minds and spirits. This work is centered on connection with the breath, appropriate adaptation, wise sequencing, and finding a balance of effort and ease. I also offer Restorative Yoga, a nourishing practice which supports the body to rest in asana selected to encourage the release of effort and tension.
I also teach Yoga Nidra & iRest® meditation, which I have found to be an incredibly powerful tool for integrating bodies, minds, spirits, and layers of self. This meditation practice helps students integrate body sensations, thoughts, emotions and more while providing a restorative experience connecting to our essential nature and peace of mind within.
I am honored to now offer pregnancy & postpartum support, both inside and outside of the container of a yoga practice. My prenatal yoga teaching welcomes and affirms your identity, choices and pregnancy experiences. Prenatal yoga can help alleviate discomforts, prepare for birth, and tend to your spirit as your walk this initiatory pathway. I also offer postpartum doula services (more info coming soon!) as well as pregnancy termination and loss support. It would be my honor to share this practice and hold space for your experiences.
All of my offerings are intentionally trauma-sensitive, fat-positive, and adaptable for those of us living with disability and chronic illness. Yoga is truly a practice that is for all of us, and can meet us wherever we find ourselves. The white supremacist appropriation of yoga asana as a fitness practice in service of thinness and capitalistic productivity maximization is not aligned with the true meaning of yoga, and I am continually examining my relationship with those forces to ensure my teaching is in service of the true essence of yoga and liberation for all.

My Teaching Journey
Trained in the Viniyoga tradition and iRest® protocols, I offer teachings from all 8 limbs of yoga, steeped in tradition while committed to trauma-sensitivity and accessibility for all.
I stumbled upon yoga as a teenager but didn’t take a formal class until college, when I fell in love with yoga for the stress relief and reduction in aches and pains that it brought me. I continued to practice through my graduate school years and beyond until finally enrolling in a 200-hour teacher training in Viniyoga in 2016.
I immediately knew that I was on the right path, and have continued my education with an advanced teacher training (500 hour Viniyoga), Levels 1 and 2 iRest® Yoga Nidra Meditation teacher trainings, as well as additional trainings in working with trauma, anxiety and depression in yoga, and keeping yoga accessible to people with all body types, shapes and sizes. I have also completed continuing education training to certify in teaching Restorative Yoga and Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga.
I am a total yoga nerd and am always learning more about these miraculous ancient tools and how to wisely apply them in my teaching in new & creative ways to better assist my clients in working toward meeting their goals. In addition to learning and sharing the practice of yoga, I am an avid gardener, crafter and fiber artist, rescue dog mama and book lover.
